In response to the recent brutal killings of Kano indigenes in Edo State, the Kano State government has dispatched a high-powered delegation to engage with Edo authorities and the Hausa community.
Governor Abba Yusuf, in a live broadcast, strongly condemned the attacks and vowed to ensure justice for the victims.
The delegation, set to depart on Monday, will collaborate with Edo officials to ensure perpetrators are held accountable.
Governor Yusuf confirmed that affected families will receive full compensation, while commending Edo Governor Godwin Obaseki for the swift arrest of suspects.
Calling for calm, Yusuf urged Kano residents to avoid retaliation, reaffirming the state’s commitment to peace.
He extended heartfelt condolences to the victims' families, describing the incident as a "tragic and sad moment."
