Unknown gunmen slain church prophet in church at Idiroko, Ogun State

Unknown gunmen On Sunday, 19th January, 2025, at about 10:05 hours, has attacked and killed Mr. Abayomi Ojoola Adetula, the founder and prophet of the Celestial Hebrew Cathedral Special Parish, at his church in Idiroko, Ipokia local government area, Ogun State.

Adetula, aged 55 years, whose church address is off Old Baggage Road, Idiroko, Ipokia LGA area of Ogun State, was shot to death by unknown gunmen during the church service.

 Adetula was attacked by gunmen who entered his church minutes after 10 a.m. on Sunday while he was inside, according to several Idi-Iroko residents. The church is situated off Old Baggage Road.

“They first shot him, but the bullets did not penetrate him,” one resident told FIJ. “They then proceeded to inflict fatal wounds on him with their other weapons, which include hammer and machete. From the way they operated, it’s clear they were hired assassins.”
