Prince Olu Kosoko, the crown prince of Iworo Kingdom in Badagry, Lagos State, has said Hon. Oluwaseun Sesi Whingan, the House of Representatives Member representing Badagry Federal Constituency, is intentional about the changes he is bringing to Badagry.
Olu Kosoko disclosed this on Friday in a post on his official Facebook handle, where he said the Rep. Member is creating partways to key Badagry people into the CNG initiative of President Bola Tinubu.
Kosoko said, "it brought a great delight to my heart that we are already building sustainable structures to foster the development of gas usage in Badagry because we have untapped gas resources in Badagry soil, and this move also aligns with the new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative of the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu, which further collaborates with the visionary efforts of Hon. Sesi Whingan to start preparing us for the future on renewable energy."
His post further reads: As a key advocate of human capacity development in Badagry, I wholeheartedly resonate my thoughts with my brother and our vibrant House of Representatives Member at the National Assembly, Hon. Sesi Whingan, for his commitment to enhance the intellectual capabilities of Badagry people and also stimulate economic growth for our constituency.
For me, this is what I call "Intentionality to drive change" for Badagry Federal Constituency and Badagry will definitely flourish when we come together for a vision.
Big kudos to my brother, Hon. Sesi Whingan, a true champion of human capacity development. His recent training initiatives are clear testament to his dedication in empowering the people of Badagry. By investing in mental development and intellectual capacity, Hon. Whingan is paving the way for a brighter future for his constituents .
These are the recent trainings in 2024 I have seen:
1) Social Media and Digital Marketing Training: Equipped participants with the relevant social media skills to navigate the digital landscape. Trained 27 participants (September 2024)
2)Solar Power Training : Empowered individuals with the knowledge to harness renewable energy. Trained 50 participants (September 2024)
3)1000TTP (Tech Talent Programme) - Fostering tech entrepreneurship and economic growth. Currently training 200 persons for the first cohort (November 2024)
4)Bio Gas Training - Promoting sustainable renewable energy solutions. Currently training 50 persons (November 2024)
His passion for Badagry is inspiring, and his commitment to youth inclusion in governance is a shining example for others to follow. As the Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), he has consistently demonstrated his ability to drive positive change.
