As we welcome the new month of October and Nigeria's independence day, I, Hon. Abudu Akogun Olumayowa, Labour Party aspirant for the chairmanship election, extend warm felicitations to you all. This month presents an opportunity to reflect on our collective progress and reaffirm our commitment to building a better future for our beloved community.
At this critical juncture in our local government's history, it's imperative we recognize the immense potential that lies within us. We must harness our diversity, creativity, and resilience to drive transformative change. My vision for Ojo Local Government is built on the pillars of social democracy, ensuring equitable distribution of resources, and prioritizing the needs of the most vulnerable.
As we celebrate Nigeria's 64th Independence Day today, October 1, 2024, we honor the courageous efforts of our nation's forebears who fought tirelessly for our freedom from British colonial rule. Their selfless struggles paved the way for us to build a better future for ourselves and generations to come.
In this new month, I pledge to:
1. Foster inclusive governance, listening to your concerns and ideas.
2. Promote economic empowerment through sustainable initiatives and job creation.
3. Upgrade infrastructure, ensuring access to quality healthcare, education, and social services.
