RAK Foundation awards certificates to 42 skill acquisition graduates

Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, Pioneer RAK Development Foundation and commissioner for youth and social development, has presented certificates to 22 out of 42 participants who successfully completed the skill acquisition training program, sponsored by the foundation.


At the event on Saturday, June 22, 2024, held at RAK Foundation office in Badagry, Lagos State, Ogunlende promised the best students the required startup kits for their skills.


Certificate recognizing their commitment to the training. Courses in the training include bag making, soap making, and photography.


Ogunlende commended the graduates for their hard work and determination throughout the training period. He emphasized the foundation's mission to empower individuals through education and skill development. He stated that "this is the first edition, and it hasn't been easy, but despite that, it has come to stay." He also said, It is his joy to see value added to the participants."


We have been able to test, demonstrate, and show that it works. Let's see how we can scale up and make this better, In our small way, we need to help ourselves and make things work in Badagry. 


Among the graduates was Evelyn Hunpe, who learned soap making. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity and highlighted the impact of the training on her life. She also shared her plans to utilize her skills to generate additional income and contribute positively to her community.


Tanimowo Hosia, the trainer for bag making, said, "Bag making now costs money. I encourage the beneficiaries to take this vocation seriously."
