Aladeotan David, the National Youth Council of Nigeria, (NYCN) coordinator, Badagry West LCDA, has presented information on abandoned projects and electrification of the LCDA to Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, the House of Representatives Member Badagry Federation.
This was made public by the media directorates of the Rep. Member after Aladeotan visited the Rep. Member at his residence in Abuja.
Aladeotan said, "Our discussions centred on three issues: First, I presented to him a document containing the detailed information of the abandoned Gbaji-Owode-Apa Road approved during the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, and appealed to him to look into the issues related to its abandonment with a view to working towards its completion.
"Secondly, I presented him with another request to look into the issue of the prolonged total blackout in Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
"Finally, I informed him officially about my ambition to contest for Vice Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Lagos West, and presented to him the blueprint of the said ambition."
Sesi pledged his support for Aladeotan's ambition, with a promise to see to its realisation. He also said that he had already made moves on the issue of electricity in collaboration with relevant stakeholders in the Federal Ministry of Power with a view to finding a lasting solution to the perennial power outages in the LCDA.
Sesi added that he had carried out a personal survey of the plan of the abandoned road and discovered that the one and a half kilometres already covered is not even the exact picture of what was supposed to be done going by the initial plan. He, however, stated that the issues concerning it had already been attended to, but waiting for realisation. He pledged to monitor the processes for effective execution.
