The Executive Chairman of Badagry local government, Hon. Onilude Olusegun Adeniran, says his administration will continue to disburse palliatives to Badagrians until the economic hardship caused by the removal of subsidy on petrol eases.
He disclosed this earlier today at the council secretariat, where palliatives facilitated by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu were distributed.
Hon. Onilude reiterated his administration's commitment to addressing the plight of Badagrians through special interventions for the vulnerable by distributing palliatives to Badagrians across the 10 wards in the local government.
Onilude appreciated the governor's kind gesture towards his people.
“Let me foremost thank His Excellency, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for his thoughtful and kind gesture in reaching out to our citizens in this critical time by providing palliatives for them."
He reiterates his promise, stating that he will carry out monthly palliatives to ease the suffering of the people.
“My administration is fully committed to ameliorating the plight of our citizens, and we will continue to roll out palliatives to our citizens monthly. My administration will also soon commence a local discount market where our citizens can access and buy foodstuffs at discount rates."
Onilude added that, his administration has developed strategies and measures to ensure that the same set of beneficiaries does not benefit from the palliatives that will be disbursed.
