A private jet carrying Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, crash-landed in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Friday evening. Despite the incident, all seven passengers and three cabin crew members onboard were safely rescued.
According to reports, the aircraft veered off Runway 22 and ended up in a nearby forested area. The airport control tower lost contact with the jet upon landing, prompting an immediate emergency response from the Airport Rescue and Firefighting Services (ARFFS), Aviation Security (AVSEC), and other officials.
Eyewitness accounts confirm that security and rescue teams, including the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), quickly arrived at the scene to secure the area and assess the situation. While the exact cause of the crash remains unknown, authorities have launched an investigation to determine what led to the emergency landing.
Thankfully, no casualties were reported, and officials assured the public that a full inquiry is underway.
