Hon. Olugbenga Fayemi, the candidate, Lagos State House of Assembly member, Badagry constituency I, under People Democratic Party PDP has said that the Badagry youths rejected his opponent in the ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC) immediately he declared his intention.
Making him the people’s choice, he disclosed this to newsmen in an interview on Thursday morning.
The most important point he stated, "is to achieve the new development Badagry people are craving for, I will make sure the look of my constituency is changed for good.”
Fayemi pointed out that he will convince government on the need to improve infrastructures in his constituency, "as that has been a major setback in my constituency,” he stated.
Promising to run inclusive governance, "when I emerge as the House of Assembly member, youths, widows, women, and the elders would be carried along. And they will all enjoy the dividend of democracy.”
Fayemi further told the newsmen that he is more social compared to his "hostile” opponent.
“I have always been accommodating and accessible to the people which is a core expectation from the people's representative.
Also, "I can tell you vividly that my opponent is not accommodating neither is he accessible," In light of this, "I believe someone with such character can not manage people, neither, can he be a good representative,” Fayemi said.
He went on to say that, Immediately after he (Fayemi) declared his intentions, "Badagrians were so happy, this led to their change of mind and rejection of my opponent."
“I will like to use this opportunity to tell Badagry people to concentrate this time to vote for PDP under Jandor’s gubernatorial candidacy.
I am assuring my people that this time they will enjoy the dividend of democracy,” he added.
