Following the sudden death of photographer Khalid al-Misslam on Saturday, another tragedy has struck the media community covering the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.


According to a local media outlet in the country, Al-Misslam, a Qatari journalist with Al Kass TV, collapsed while covering games on Saturday.


He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.


"Al-Misslam, a Qatari, died suddenly while covering the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022," the Gulf Times reported.


"We believe in Allah's mercy and forgiveness for him and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family."


Al-death Misslam's occurred just a few days after the death of a well-known American journalist covering the World Cup in Qatar.


Grant Wahl, who was working for CBS Sports at the time of his death, collapsed while covering the quarterfinal match between the Netherlands and Argentina on Friday.


He was taken by Uber from the Lusail Iconic Stadium to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.


According to TMZ, the 49-year-old had bronchitis, but his organisation reported that he died of a heart attack.
