Delta Man Tells Court to Declare Gov. Sanwo-Olu as His Father

BY: News Peddlers

Mr Emmanuel Sanwo-Olu, a 27-year-old father of three children, has petitioned the Delta State High Court 2 in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, to declare the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as his father.

The claimant claimed in the suit no: EHC/148/2022 between Emmanuel Moses Sanwo-Olu and Babajide Sanwo-Olu that he was the product of a relationship between his mother, Grace Moses, and the defendant in 1994/95.

In addition, in his summons issued by J. O. Aikpokpo-Martins, the claimant requests the following from the court:

"A declaration from Madam Grace Moses of Oleri, Delta State that the defendant is the claimant's biological father.

"An order directing and compelling the defendant to acknowledge and accord the claimant all of the rights of a son under all applicable laws, whether customarily, statutorily, or constitutionally.

"A perpetual injunction prohibiting the defendant from further denying the claimant's parenthood."

In the 19-paragraph statement of claim attached to the writ, the claimant stated that Sanwo-Olu worked for a private company in Warri, Delta State, from 1994 to 1995, and that while working and living in the community, he had a relationship with Grace Moses from Oleri village near Warri metropolis, Delta State.

He claimed that Moses became pregnant for Sanwo-Olu without the defendant's knowledge in 1994, and that shortly after, the defendant left Warri and Moses lost contact with him until today.

Attempts to contact the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, on the subject were futile.

An aide to the state governor, on the other hand, called the suit "laughable."
