2023: APC will not survive 2023 election - Atiku Abubakar

BY: News Peddlers

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has stated that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, will not survive the 2023 election.

The former vice president made the remark on Thursday at the inauguration of the PDP's National Youth Campaign Council, saying the APC is a "alliance" that will disband after next year's elections.

"To be honest, the PDP is the only political party in the country; APC is not a political party; it is an alliance between the CPC and Tinubu's party, and we have seen how alliances in this country have vanished overnight; I don't think APC will survive this election; we will vote them out in 2023."

"Some of us fought for this democracy in Nigeria with our lives. Many people gave their lives for the freedom of speech, movement, and everything else we have today," Mr Abubakar said.

He claimed that the PDP, as the country's oldest and most youth-friendly party, was the first to establish a youth campaign council.

The decision, he said, was a step toward further enthroning and sustaining democracy in the country through the PDP.

"The PDP is making history by being the first political party in the country to establish a youth council. But this is not surprising given that we are Nigeria's oldest political party.

As a result, despite the APC's disappointing performance over the last seven years, he charged members of the council to work for the party's victory at all levels and to give Nigerian youths hope.

According to the DAILY NIGERIAN, the PDP youth campaign council is led by Osun State Governor-elect Ademola Adeleke.

Mr Adeleke was, however, represented at the event by Mohammed Maibasira, a former National Youth Leader of the party.
