Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa state

Governor of Jigawa State Muhammadu Badaru started that The All Progressives Congress, APC  had fulfilled most of the campaign promises made to Jigawa residents since 2015 and asked for more support.

He disclosed this on Sunday while launching the APC 2023 gubernatorial campaign in Hadejia, the state capital and headquarters of the Hadejia Local Government Area.

He also claimed that his administration had carried out viable projects and programs in all parts of the state, from the countryside to urban areas.

According to him, the rally's purpose is to formally introduce the governorship and other party candidates from the zone to the people of the state.

The governor stated that there were indications that the APC could retain power both at the state and federal levels due to the party's achievements in all sectors.

He, on the other hand, expressed gratitude to God for making the event a reality and providing them with the opportunity to serve the state and use its resources wisely for the benefit of both rural and urban dwellers.

Mr Badaru stated that the rally's attendance was a clear demonstration of the party's acceptance in the state, as well as appreciation for the democratic dividends it had brought to the people.

As a result, the governor urged voters to support the party's candidates at all levels in order for the party to retain power and ensure continuity.

If elected in 2023, the APC's governorship candidate, Umar Namadi, has stated his willingness to pilot the affairs of the state with a keen interest in serving his people.

Mr Namadi, who is also the state's incumbent deputy governor, stated that the APC administration has completed a number of projects that have a direct impact on the lives of the state's commoners, who make up the majority.

The governorship candidate stated that the number of new and rehabilitated projects across sectors carried out by the Badaru administration cannot be overstated.

He did, however, assure the throngs of APC supporters that if re-elected, he would continue to invest in meaningful development programs and projects.

Former Senator Ubale Shitu also expressed gratitude to God and the people of the state for their support for the party, saying it demonstrated APC's strength over the opposition parties.

He said it was a joy to see such a large crowd at the rally, compared to the low turnout during the People's Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate's visit to the state on Friday.

"This is a clear message to the opposition parties and the PDP that the majority of Jigawa residents do not support them," he said.

The rally was attended by APC chieftains, candidates, and other party supporters.
