Rotaract Club of Ajara, Badagry Lagos state. Announce the installation of the 13TH president Rotaractor Godonu Rebecca coming up on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 12 noon, at the Registry Hall Secretariat Badagry Local Government cum Project Launching and Induction of Board of Directors.
In light of this, we are using this medium to invite you as well as the general public to this wonderful occasion.
Since its inception on September 15, 2010, the club has contributed significantly to humanitarian projects to supplement the government's efforts. While this may be viewed as added value, we remain a child on the riverbank playing with shells while a vast amount of good and service remains to be done.
Some of these projects were initiated by the club with member contributions, while others were realized through collaboration with other civil society organizations.
Some of these projects include the distribution of school materials (exercise books, uniforms, etc.), health awareness (polio eradication and immunization), international peace projects, tree planting, sanitation exercises, free health services, and the donation of face masks, to name a few.
Is a Rotary youth wing comprised of young professionals (aged 18 to 31) from various professional and educational backgrounds who are not defined by religions or political motives. Rotaract is a globally recognized volunteer organization with strong ties to the United Nations and other prestigious organizations.
The aforementioned Rotaract club of Ajara is one of seventy-five (75) clubs in Rotaract District 9110. (Lagos and Ogun state). Rotary International coined the term "Rotaract" in 1962 to stand for "Rotary in Action."
The goal of this event is to raise funds to carry out club projects throughout the year and beyond. It will also serve as a venue for the club's diligent and humanitarian members to be recognized. Participants will also learn about "VOLUNTEERING AND YOUTH LEADERSHIP."
