On Tuesday, Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of meta, announced that its messaging app, WhatsApp, would add new privacy features to protect its users.
"New privacy features coming to WhatsApp: exit group chats without notifying everyone, control who can see when you're online, and prevent screenshots on view once messages," Mr Zuckerberg said in a Facebook statement on Tuesday.
He went on to say that the messaging app would keep "creating new ways to protect your messages and keep them as private and secure as face-to-face conversations."
This feature will be added to the messaging app, which is used by over two billion people in 180 countries around the world.
WhatsApp had increased the number of users who could join a Group Chat from 256 to 512.
