UPDATE: Cattle herders attacke someone mistook for vehicle conductor: SP Hundeyin

Cattle herders have killed one person by name Ahmed aka Omoga, after a bus driver ran into two cows, leading to the death of one cow.

The incident happened in the early hours of Monday at Agemowo, Badagry, Lagos State.

It was earlier reported by NewsPeddlers that Fulani cattle herders killed a bus driver and the conductor. Contrary to this further investigation has disclosed that it was one person that was killed, who was mistaken for the conductor.

This was also confirmed from the statement of the Police Public Relations officer SP Bemjamin Hundeyin who disclosed on his tweeter handle that the driver had ran into two cows, killing one.

Meanwhile, the two cattle herders mistook someone to be the bus conductor which resulted in his death.

Which prompted the residents to block the road, but with the collaboration of the Nigeria police force and the Nigeria arm force peace was restored to the area.

"The DPO, Morogbo Division, assisted by soldiers from 243 Recce Battalion, Badagry successfully cleared the obstruction. Normalcy has since returned to the area. It is entirely false that the victim was turned back when he sought refuge in the police station. 2/3"

Several persons had claimed that the diseased person was killed in the front of the police post in the area, but SP Hundeyin has debunked that, stating "he didn't make it off the accident scene, let alone station".
