Rotaract Zone M organised award night for youths that had contributed to development in Badagry.

The award and dinner night was tagged, night of the trailblazers, which place at Pacific crown hotels and suit.

Awesu Halilu Senu the zonal Rotaract representative, Rotaract Zone M district 9110, told NewsPeddlers "This is an organisation or a club of young people under the roof of the Rotary Club which Is an international organisation."

"We are here to appreciate those the has done very well for the Rotaract year, every year we have a time like this to appreciate this that has contributed to Rotary giving them an award to motivate them to do more and for this year we are in change maker year. Rotary serves to change life."

"Today we have been able to give more than 17 plank awards and more than 31 certificates and Medals to Rotaractors, Rotarians, organisations and some individuals." He said.

Senu said "the members who were not given awards should not be discouraged but to see this as a challenge, to make sure they do their best to contribute positively to our society."

Stating further that, not that those that were given award are the best but it's only a gesture of appreciation. Adding that those that are not part of the club are missing a lot because Rotary is a place where you come to showcase your talents young persons under the age of 35 can seize this opportunity to join.

Speaking with NewsPeddlers Abdusalam Abiodun Asade the Executive director of Green Janitor sustainable initiative, said "when I'm invited for an award I don't ask why I was chosen, but one of the things they highlighted was the humanitarian activities we are doing through Green Janitor."

"I can say this night is a night of encouragement and a way to do more for humanitarian activities, I appreciate the organisers because this is an avenue to meet people of like minds to do more greater things for the immediate community.

"From what happened today I can say I'm automatically a member of the organisation." He said.
