An explosion has occurred in Jalingo the Taraba State
capital, leaving at least six persons injured.
A source that poke with News Peddlers said the incident took
place at a drinking joint the blast came from a load on a Motor cycle packed opposite Nukkai Primary school
Near former Catholic Church along the Jalingo Wukari expressway.
Although no life was lost in the explosion, some of the
victims are reported to have lost consciousness and have been to hospital for treatment.
An eyewitness said the explosion happened shortly after a
suspected suicide bomber arrived the spot, dropped a polythene bag all efforts to
apprehend his was not successful.
He added that some of the children around who saw the
suspected suicide bomber but was not sure of his intention, until after the explosion.
Neither the police or the state government is yet to make any statement regarding the incident at the moment the news was gathered.
