Toviho Olayemi Monday popularly known as OBJ, an Aspirant for House of Representatives, Badagry Federal Constituency under People Democratic Party PDP met party leaders Thursday ahead primary elections.
The meeting comprises party leaders from the 11 Wards in Badagry constituency; he made his intention of running for the office of House of Representatives known to the party leaders and strongly pleaded for the support of the leaders.
The meeting is also to rekindle the love within the party, “I’m pleading with everyone here to bring back the old love. We have been able to win the previous elections through the machinery of love which is what we really need now” He said.
Stating that he is the most competent Aspirant, because he has enough experience, as a person who has been a legislative Aide for the past 19 years at the House of Representatives, Abuja.
“This is the highest political in Badagry ,but we keep losing every four years because of bad representatives. In PDP today, there is no person more qualified other than myself, Toviho Olayemi Monday , I have made several sacrifices for this party and this is a time to give more to my people.
“I can’t sit and be looking at my people suffering from selfish politicians, I have been there for the past 19years, the experience I have gathered is more than what a house of Representatives member from Badagry can gather in four years and with that I know how to bring things to my people already.”
Adding that the country is currently in bad condition and it’s only PDP that can rescue Nigeria from this mess.
“ Nigeria is currently in a pathetic situation and needs to be rescued urgently, the foundation of this country is shaking and needs serious attention.
“In Nigeria today, the only alternative party is PDP; so we have to unite. There’s no way we will coexist without offending each other in Badagry, so, we (PDP) have the opportunity to win the upcoming election.”
OBJ further stated conditions to win election “In wining election, what matter most is presenting sellable and capable candidate, which is why I’m standing to represent Badagry, I can tell you boldly that I Toviho is more than ready and capable to work for the development of Badagry.”
“I can say it without mixing words that Hon. Koshoedo , former house of Rep. member and current Deputy National Secretary PDP remains the best honorable member among those that have represented us so far, since then till date no one has been able to represent Badagry well. This is what we want to bring back.” He said.
Ward A party leader comrade Surulogba, pleaded with the leaders of the party to be fervent at their work and make the party work, not minding any personal misunderstandings which shouldn’t affect the progress of the party.
Toviho further appreciate the leaders for coming out in their numbers to honour his invitation. The leaders in turn salute his courage and approach and prayed God grant his desire because he Toviho remains the best alternative to the bad representation we experience in Badagry today.
