The former president of United states of America has called for
the resignation of the current president Joe Biden, in response to the takeover
of Afghanistan government, by Taliban an
Islamic fundamentalist group on 15th of August.
Joe Biden had withdrew U.S. troops from Afghanistan, after many
years of military presence in the state to maintain peace among the warring parties.
Biden had stated in a recent interview that, he was not satisfied with U.S. involving
in other countries civil strife. And U.S. had stayed too long defending the country.
In an interview on Sunday Donald Trump said “it is time for Joe
Biden to resign in disgrace for what he has allowed to happen to Afghanistan”.
The Taliban took over the government house on Sunday. Prior to
this time Biden had set August 31 as the date to withdraw all U.S. troops from the
country.
Taliban eventually warn the war that had took about two decades
now, after U.S. military ousted the Taliban government in 2001.
When Donald Trump was in power, he was able to reach an agreement
with the Taliban setting condition for the withdrawal of U.S. troops, which was
meant to take place this year. Joe Biden coming to power this year, abandoned the
deal and withdrew U.S. troops without any condition.
Trump had expressed his displeasure on the incident stating
that what Joe Biden has done to Afghanistan can never be forgotten.
“What Joe Biden has done with Afghanistan is Legendary”. He
said “And it will go down as one of the defeat in American history”.
Joe Biden government had always said, Trump government set the
sails for the withdrawal, with the Doha deal that took place in 2020 and many U.S.
citizens are in support of it.
Apart from Trump, other Americans had also criticized Biden
for his action, stating that the withdrawal is not well managed. With swift evaluation
of U.S. Embassy it became gearing that the
Afghan government would collapse.
A top U.S. official has also blamed Biden calling Biden’s decision “a shameful failure to American leadership”.
