In the early hours of today, the house of Sunday Adeyemo aka
Sunday Igboho the popular Yuruba nation activist was attacked, by gunmen in military
uniform. The wife and several others were kidnapped, while about seven people were
killed.
Form the statement signed by Professor Banji Akintoye the pioneer
of Ilana Omo Oduduwa, released by Mr. Maxwell Adeleye his communication manager.
Which was made available to newsman today.
The statement said “the gunmen killed seven occupants in the
building and whisked Igboho’s wife and several others away.”
This resulted from an attack, that was carried out one Sunday
Adeyemo's house around 1:30am today.
The statement titled as, ‘Yoruba nation: Elements of Nigerian
Army, Accompanied by International Terrorist hired by Nigerian state attack
Sunday Igboho’s residence – Akintoye.’
According to Mr. Maxwell, in a Punch news report, Akintoye alleged
that “The assailants were all dressed in military uniform and spoke French language
fluently.”
The attack had happened less than two days, to a rally which
is scheduled to take place, in Lagos on 3rd of this month.
The is the third time, that the Yoruba nation Activists residence
is attacked, by arm men since the agitation started. Which has raised various questions
on social media, and saying that police should protect him.
“This is the third time I will be reading about Sunday
Igboho's house being attacked. What exactly is happening. The police should
give him protection.” Atahiru Haruna, a Facebook
user said.
