Prof. Banji Akintoye a professor of History and a pioneer of
the Oduduwa nation has just raised a security alarm to the governors and
leaders within the southwest region of Nigeria.
Punch made it known that, Akintoye In the letter he Sent to
governors within the region informing them that terrorists are aiming to strike
major centres within the region.
He pleaded with the governors to begin the required actions
to prevent the attack and that the criminals has draw plans on a way to attack
important centres in other to destabilise the economy of the region.
Akintoye also called on the of leaders of major worship
centres like Redeemed Christian church of God, Deeper life Bible Church,
Winners Chapel and other denominations with large congregation to guide their
worship centres.
He added that Yoruba youths should be vigilant and not let
terrorists infiltrate the region.
In his words “A combination is Fulani terrorists, Bokoharam
and ISIS, are currently in Niger state, which is border to Yoruba land and can
give them quick access to Yoruba land through Kwara and Kogi state.
“US released an announcement recently stating that southern
Nigerian has been penetrated by the terrorist through the Atlantic, which
implies that Lagos, Ogun and Ondo state aren't safe.
“Our situation now needs urgent move from the governors. I
feel is my responsibility to discuss the
challenges the Yoruba nation is facing now, which is why I’m bringing this
information to the governors of our states”.
He further said “I humbly and passionately beg our governors
to collaborate, so to deal with the danger that's becoming a threat to Yoruba
nation.
“We all know that prominent properties is usually the target
of these terrorists, in anywhere they Plan attack. That is, major public places
in Lagos and Ibadan, especially the massive symbolic Cocoa house in Ibadan,
would be their first target.
Owners of major structures in Yoruba land are advise to
strengthen security on their properties. These are bridges, public and personal
places, churches with large congregation as Deeper life Church, Redeemed
Church, Winners Chapel, Mountain of fire Church and Synagogue Church and
likewise our most vital central Mosques in Lagos, Ibadan and other cities”.
